Natute of the Business: Creating a more equal society; teaching, training skills to deal with racism, sexism, predjudice, conflict, bullying, anger. Building confidence, raising self awareness and acceptance. Empowering young people and adults to become activists for positive change.
Roots

The covid 19 pandemic demonstrated the massive inequality and injustice in UK today. The impact on vulnerable people especially children and young people saw the safety net and comfort of school removed. Seeing friends socialising with family and leisure activities all ceased. For significant period of time restricting movement and usual freedoms we enjoy and take for granted.
The impact of this has been life changing and caused trauma for many. Throughout this time help, support and interventions for children and young people was not available. The backlog of children and young people waiting to access help is profound. With parents witnessing changes of behaviour self harm feelings of panic and dark thoughts.
Many children suffered feeling like a prisoner in their own homes. Many faced mental health problems with increased anxiety and fears around everyday living. Young children unable to cope with overwhelming feelings of anger and sadness impacting their behaviour and emotional health.
What makes us different?
Humanstic approach, strong sense of social justice. We see each person as a unique individual finding their own way within a bigger society and understanding our own interactions with others can have lasting impact.

Services

As we remain under restrictions the world saw the raw footage of a blackman in the US being arrested for cheque fraud. As he was being held on floor, George Floyd, was suffocated to death by a police officer kneeling on his neck for over 7 minutes. This resulted in global activitism with demonstrations and marches, and members of the public removing statues of profiteers from the slave trade.
When England made the world cup in 2020 the country saw widespread rascist abusve after 3 young blackmen miss their penelties. The acheivement in getting to the world cup final was largely ignored the loudest voices at the time were racist. The resulting abuse a strat contrast to the public support demonstrated in the build up to the worldcup final.
The increase in male violence committed against women and girls is significant. The murder Sarah Everard by a serving police officer saw women across the country unite demonstrating their fraustration at being advised to restrict their own movements after dark and out alone.
